
Sara García Solivelles, from the Protein Foods Group, is one of the winners of the prestigious Giract European PhD in Flavor Research Awards – First Year PhD Scholarships! The call for proposals, now in its fifteenth edition, aims to promote research on food flavor by doctoral students at European universities and research institutes.
The six winners each receive a scholarship of 3,000 euros. They also have the opportunity to visit the laboratory of a sponsoring company during their second year of doctoral studies, gaining valuable insights into industry research and development.
Sara's work represents an important contribution to flavor research. Her research on meat flavor and microbiota in fermented meat analogues, using chemical, biotechnological, and molecular approaches, highlights her dedication and enthusiasm for advancing food science.
